A day at the Zoo

We decided it was time to take Gideon to the Zoo. We figured he's at the age he would probably be able to see and enjoy the animals. This is the first time we saw this statue and thought it was pretty cool.

The zoo in Boise has gotten drastically better over the years. No more Llamas, Moose, Big Horn Sheep or Elk (lame).

Gideon is as tall as a Condor - isn't he just adorable?

You can get food out of a little machine to feed these buggers. We put a little pellet on his hand and when this guy nibbled it off his hand, he screamed like crazy & it wasn't for joy! I wish I would have caught the look on his face.

For some reason Gideon was not a fan of the penguins, we couldn't leave this room fast enough for him.

On the other hand he was fascinated with the Giraffes. I couldn't get him to look over at me to get a picture of his sweet face.

You can't tell by the look on his face, but he did quite like these Lemurs.

I had to take this picture. If you look at the far right, the female Lion is laying on her back with her feet in the air. This is how Gus (our dog) sleeps sometimes - and snores like crazy.
